CMB is currently accepting applications for the 2018 resident sessions of the Integrative Biosciences Program. In an effort to "go green", CMB has recently converted to a completely online application process. Please refer to the course calendar for available session dates.

Who may apply?

Given the advanced level of our educational curriculum, registration is currently limited to junior and senior-level high school students. Students about to enter their junior year of high school are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Application guidelines and a tuition schedule are contained in the online Student Application for Admission Form. Be sure to complete all sections and include all supplemental materials to avoid delays in processing your application. Applicants will be notified via email when their application is complete and under review. The review process will take 2-3 weeks.

Admission into the Integrative Biosciences Program is highly competitive and based on a variety of different factors, including evidence of leadership, a demonstrated commitment to community service, work experience, extracurricular involvement, outstanding academic achievement, consistent academic performance, prior coursework, a thoughtfully constructed and well-developed essay, and strong letters of recommendation. For each session, our admissions staff selects a diverse group of applicants who possess a range of complementary talents, interests, skills, and dispositions.

Selected applicants receive an acceptance letter and an enrollment packet that contains additional forms that must be submitted along with a deposit to secure enrollment. Approximately one month prior to the session start date, CMB provides all formally enrolled students with a comprehensive study guide that contains background reading materials and a list of Internet-based resources. Students are expected to study this material conscientiously before the start of their CMB coursework. In addition to preparing you for your scientific work, this material will help you begin formulating ideas for a collaborative project that you and your colleagues will present on the last night of your program session. Participation in this project is a challenging and rewarding aspect of your CMB experience and a program requirement.

CMB is committed to making our programs accessible to all qualified students. A limited number of scholarship opportunities will be available to students throughout each calendar year. Parents and teachers are encouraged to consult with our staff for scholarship availability and eligibility requirements.
