Career Development Workshops for Teachers
From its inception, CMB was explicitly designed to develop, maintain, and implement an effective teacher career development continuum in multidisciplinary bioscience.
CMB contends that many of the modern technologies in routine use within academic and professional research settings are accessible to high school students through the conscientious guidance of a properly trained multidisciplinary educational team.  Disseminating these powerful and rapidly emerging technologies into the K-12 system at large is a top-tier objective of CMB and the primary focus of our career development workshops for teachers.
CMB’s teacher development program is specifically designed to train educators in the use of sophisticated scientific methodologies and associated  technologies, and to provide direct assistance to teachers as they develop new science-based educational opportunities for their students. Our current efforts are principally directed toward introducing teachers to the central scientific concepts and methodologies encompassed by our program subject areas. CMB’s long-term objective is to develop and maintain a top-flight educational field station and training facility where high school teachers will receive in-depth scientific training and lead students through innovative science-based projects that define exciting new areas of inquiry and exploration.
